What is erectile dysfunction?

Eroxon® is clinically proven to treat mild, moderate, and severe ED

A novel alternative treatment for erectile dysfunction

Eroxon®’s novel gel treatment can help men with erectile dysfunction (ED) restore intimacy and spontaneity to their and their partner’s sex lives. This new addition to your treatment options is clinically proven to be effective for men with ED, whether psychological or organic (and mixed), and in mild, moderate, and severe cases.

What is erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition in which a man has persistent difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection firm enough for sexual activity. It is a complicated condition, which can be caused by various physical, neurological, or psychological factors, or a combination of those factors.

Men experiencing ED can be reassured that ED is very common and affects approximately one in two men between 40-70 years of age.1

While it more usually affects older men, it can occur at any age. Its incidence is on the rise due to our ageing populations and the growing number of men with medical conditions such as diabetes. ED is increasingly affecting younger men with the prevalence of ED in young men being as high as 30%2.

Younger men can be affected by performance anxiety from unrealistic expectations due to societal pressures and the rise of social media. Men are also affected by chronic conditions that have a high incidence of ED at a younger age.

Causes of erectile dysfunction

Physical causes of ED can include cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, neurological disorders, anatomical issues, and certain medications. Psychological causes of ED can include stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and performance anxiety.

Lifestyle factors, such as smoking, lack of physical activity, unhealthy diets, excessive alcohol intake, metabolic syndrome and obesity are also believed to contribute to ED.

ED can be an early indicator of serious underlying health problems, including cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes. We recommend that Eroxon® users – especially those who have not sought healthcare advice – should consult a doctor within the first six months of using the product to check for underlying conditions.

Treatment of erectile dysfunction

Prior to Eroxon®, existing treatments for ED included oral PDE5i medications as well as other treatments such as intra-urethral pellets or creams, penile injections, or penile implants. Lifestyle changes, such as improving diet and exercise, may also be recommended.

These existing treatments for ED are available only on prescription in most countries around the world, creating barriers to access3 . Embarrassment, denial, reticence, and lack of awareness may further prevent someone experiencing ED from seeking help. Partners wishing to be supportive and solution-oriented are hindered by these compounding factors as only the sufferer can be prescribed the treatment.

Eroxon®’s clinically proven gel, however, represents the first novel advance in effective treatment for ED in a decade. By recommending Eroxon® as an alternative treatment that’s available without a prescription, healthcare professionals can help men and their partners restore intimacy and spontaneity to their lives – quickly, and easily.

How partners can help

By providing a supportive environment to discuss their concerns and encouraging open communication regarding sexual health, healthcare professionals can help men with ED and their partners restore intimacy and spontaneity to their and their partner’s sex lives with Eroxon® gel as a new, non-prescription, clinically proven alternative.
